Last night was special. A women reinforced some strong musical values in me last night. So I just touch down in Philly International Airport by way of the West Coast (An hour late on some American Airlines Bullshit) and Im greeted by two of my favorite Negros, none other than Easwood and Chicago Jones (They work together like me and Kazi) and we in the studio watchin the flat screen and doin music, when I get a call from Delawares Ambassador Trigga TRIG. To make a long story short we headed up to NJ and link up with Mills. Mills is DJ Lazy Ks manager and he does big things in the mixtape circuit!!! So we start talkin business, bitches, and bud while music plays in a room filled wall to wall with records. As I come to believe that the room is empty, the curtain opens...partially...and out peaks the face of a master at work. DJ Lazy K had been in the next room the entire time mixing a 90 minute mixtape LIVE!!!!! Now I dont know if u understand the significance of this, but in this world of Digital DJs this is a rare occasion!!!! After she makes hers statement to Mills she kindly addresses the others in the room (Me and TRIG) and closes the curtain to return to Heaven... I mean... the turntables....yea thats right. Shortly following, she realizes she has committed and error on the CD and immediately starts from the Beginning!!!! A 90 Minute MixTape!!!! All while we have our feet up with purple smoke in the Air!!!!! Now of course I was piffed out, so the idea that she may have walked in and out of the room frequently is a possibility, but the moral of the story is...I heard of Lazy K years ago, and she still seems as hungry now as she did then and she is extremely dedicated to her work and I need to continuously strive to improve on doing the same thing, becasue even tho Lazy K is fine as a muh(expletive) she still grinds harder than most niggaz and I need to Step my game up.
KAE Hock.
